For a PC gamer, the mouse is more an extension of themselves than any other part of the PC. The mouse can make or break the performance and success of any PC Gamer. That is why many PC gamers will invest heavily in top quality gaming mice, to ensure top performance. The ergonomic feel, additional gaming specific features, and increased DPI of a gaming mouse is sure to give any gamer the edge they need whether they play Battle Royale, or RPG games.

If you are in the market for a gaming mouse, you may find yourself searching for the best one for your needs. Each gamer will have their own list of likes, and dislikes about a mouse that they will take into consideration when buying. But deciding which mouse is the best overall can be a bit of a challenge. That’s why in this article we will look at a few of the best gaming mice on the market, and what makes them great as well as some of their drawback.

Razer Basilisk Essential

Razer is perhaps my favorite gaming peripheral company. To put it simply, they make top quality products consistently. Basically, everything they produce is a quality product, and the Basilisk Essential is no exception. The Razer Basilisk Essential is a more toned-down version of the Basilisk. The Basilisk Essential is designed with the budget/new gamer in mind. That is what I think makes this mouse so exceptional. It offers a top-notch gaming mouse experience at a reasonable price and makes it perfect for newcomers to the gaming scene. The Basilisk Essential comes with seven total buttons on the mouse, and the option to add a customizable paddle. Overall, the Basilisk Essential is everything that made the Basilisk so popular, without the extra bells and whistles. It’s the perfect beginner gaming mouse.

-Pros:

Customizable/removable paddle is a great feature for added versatility.

Ergonomic design.

-Cons:

Low DPI ratio.

Logitech Prodigy G203

The Logitech Prodigy G203 is a pretty incredible value when price and function are taken into consideration. This just might be the lowest price you are likely to see on a top-quality gaming mouse. Another cool feature of the Logitech Prodigy is the Logitech Mouse software that comes free online. This peripheral software allows you to not only customize the buttons on your mouse, as most gaming mice will do also, but it allows you to create custom gaming settings for your different games. This means that you can create a different mouse ‘profile’ that will automatically default once you boot up certain games. The Logitech Prodigy G203 is a pretty cool budget mouse that any gamer would be satisfied with. The only downside I see in this mouse, that I would fix in future models, is the chassis plastic feels a bit slippery in the hand. The overall hand feel of the mouse is still rather comfortable, though.

-Pros:

Easy to customize.

Price.

-Cons:

Slippery feel of the chassis.

SteelSeries Sensei 310.

SteelSeries is a highly respected manufacturer of gaming peripherals, and the Sensei 310 is no exception to that. This mouse is exceptional. This mouse boasts 1:1 3,500 DPI tracking, which means it might just be the most accurate and responsive mouse available on the market today. There is no noticeable lag, jumping or jitters with this mouse. In addition to the incredible DPI performance, the mouse itself feels amazing. The chassis is coated in hard rubber that makes for exceptional grip, although it can get a bit gummy and might need to be cleaned frequently. In addition, SteelSeries has also released the Rival 310, which is essentially a right-handed only version of the Sensei 310, whereas the Sensei 310 is ambidextrous.

-Pros:

Incredibly responsive and accurate cursor movement.

Durable build.

-Cons:

Lack of braided cord.

Awkward CPI button placement.

Final Thoughts.

The market for top quality gaming peripherals has become a dream landscape. Many different manufacturers are releasing incredible, high end products that will make any gamer a happy camper. Ultimately, choosing the right gaming mouse for you will boil down to your own personal preferences. But it is my belief that any of the three mentioned above would be an amazing addition to your PC gaming arsenal.
