A Deeper Lesson in Life  − 4 October, 2007

I have been lucky to learn a deeper lesson, that shapes my thoughts, beliefs, actions and who I am.

“Heritage can wither way,
Seed can decay…..
Material things are replaceable, are
Subject to wear and tear,

But it’s the capital that is
“Invested” in man that bears fruit,

Here calculable, there incalculable….”

It stands alone bold on the 1st page of a 200 page family tree book. Chronicles of the ____ family (1836 – 1987).

How blessed to have been taught that as a child….and to have a family that believe in the good in mankind and give themselves to others…and publish it as the preface to what my family represents! That they come from old money yet realise its more important to invest your soul, your time.

The book represents just one section of my family. It has over 2500 members in Australia, that have all invested in each other, their children and society.

Whether you come from a large or small family.... all us have something valuable to offer, all of us have something that makes us unique and most importantly all of us must realise we are INTERCONNECTED! Its a blessing a gift....

Remember not only do you…..
Help shape the world,
Help shape the future,
but you HELP SHAPE OTHERS…..

Invest yourself in people because the return maybe greater than money can buy! not only for you but for the world!

written to me by a friend CI - this is an inspirational and very true message.

In regards to this message, this is exactly why I have sacrificed many opportunities of greater power, more money, more stuff, etc. My reasons are because I have a little girl to raise up. What more important job is there in this world other than that of being a parent?? What more job is more rewarding that the responsibility of being a parent? Where in this world can you buy the love of your child? It is priceless...

Very best regards,
CI
