Went back to New Mexico for Nana's celebrations.
The rainbow photos mom took the day after Nana died. It's the eastern view of the valley mom and dad live in. Rainbows are fairly common during the rainy season. But this is an especially bright one.
On the night Steph and I arrived in Albuquerque (Saturday the 1st) we helped mom put together two collages of photos of Nana throughout the years. It was fun doing this together as a family. Nana wan's exactly adventurous, but she led a pretty fun life. Seeing her at all the various stages and places of her life was fun for us. Mom was naturally sad, but the process was therapeutic.
On that Saturday night, there was a huge rain storm in Albuquerque. Mom and Dad and I were making one of Nana's collages when we heard thunder and lightning and noticed that Nancy and Tieg we not around. Then a few minutes later, we hear Tieg shout from the laudry room, "ALL HANDS ON DECK!" The back yard's drainage was overflowing and coming back toward the house. I stripped of my nice shirt and ran out into the rain (and lightning) and began carrying 5-gallon buckets of water out to the street to stop the flow. It took us all working about half an hour on it while it was raining to keep up. When the rain stopped, we worked another half an hour to get all of the water out of the yard and the drainage depots.
The day after Nana's funeral Steph and I drove Noel to the airport and we had about 5 hours to kill on our own in Albuquerque. So we walked around Old Town seeing the sites.

Was Nana your grandma ? All my Compathy which means in my language all my compassion and sympathy to you and your family. I care a great deal about my grandma and I know the days are going way too fast and ahe will go one day too soon...
I hope you feel better. Or good.
I always think that people lived their life the way they were meant to (not in a very good way most of the time but we all have a purpose don't we ?) and when they die it was time to but not everyone feels this way. And it's hard to lose someone we love.
So here goes, all my Compathy for "letting go" Nana.
