Career Change: Science Teacher − 8 August, 2004
This was the day school opened with a new teacher. I started out my career as a pharmaceutical research chemist; I changed in mid-life to middle school science teacher. It's been a wonderful journey.
This first year, however, was full of strange events, mostly weather related. In the next few articles, I'll trace some of the crazy times we went through in the 2004 storm season, including an extra special visit with an ice storm.

Update: I found some photos of me setting up my first classroom (u07, below) and preparing for my first week of school (u08).
