Battle of the Bands − 27 September, 2005
I was a casualty in the Battle of the Bands.
Killarney Star played in a locally hosted contest called "Battle of the Bands"; we lost. It just wasn't happening that night. The place we played was Common Grounds, one of the best venues in town -- in a new location. They'd moved from their small storefront location to a medium sized concert-style hall downtown.
Well, things didn't go well. We were doing one of our new songs, and someone took a left turn at Albequerque. The magic just wasn't there.
Still, nothing was said that night. But the decision was in the works.
