blister in the sun − 11 June, 1983

we were so lucky that the violent femmes had an underages show at tuts, a hole in the wall club in chicago right next to the belmont station. when poo, leanie and i got there we were thrilled to see that the stage was only a couple of feet off the ground. the opening act was *altered images* the uk band that sung the *happy birthday* song. when the violent femmes got on stage it was mindblowing. they gave such an awesome performance. we were so closed to them on stage they were only an arms reach away. it was one of the best concerts i had ever been too.

we also saw lance grossman there a guy we went to high school with. i just remembered that.
