I almost died − 20 January, 2007
My car spun out of control and made a 180 turn in the middle of interstate traffic. I literally stared death in the face. It all happened at 3:12 pm on I80E in Vacaville. It couldn't have been more then 15 seconds but those could have been my last ones. There was no damage and no injuries. It was a traffic chain reaction and no one in particular was at fault but I do have to acknowledge all the people who stopped and let my car do it's thing till it stopped and I could reverse and go back to driving.
The moral of the story is that when you wake up in the morning you never know that this might be the last day of your life so always live life to the fullest, never walk out of the door angry, and always kiss loved ones goodbye and tell them that you love them.

That's always a lesson learned from pain, I think.
Glad you're okay.

Thank You Josh! Honestly I didn't even have time to get scared or for my life to flash before my eyes as people say but post the fact I had to regroup and say a prayer.

Yeah, I'd have to say that was probably in order.
Personally, I've never been in a serious accident, but I'm come close enough to appreciate the days a little better.

you know I just thought about that morning, and how normal it was: eating cereal and oranges for breakfast, picking out clothes for my son to wear, cleaning out the lizard tank, so very normal. Then when I walked out of the door I just said "ByeBye" and didn't even kiss my little boy, that could have been the last time I talked to him. Then I thought about him not having a mom and how his life would have forever changed. I guess it wasn't my time but I sure came close.

I've also learned to make sure the last words I say to my friends and family are "I love you" ... You are right on.
